Rodeo/Fair/Cattle parade

I had a super fun time at the rodeo on Friday night with Derrinda. We watched the rodeo and the Scotty McCreery concert afterwards. I also took the kids that morning to the cattle drive/parade and got in free at the fair before noon that day. We went on the giant bounce house  together and Kingston even saw one of his good friends from school, Carson. Lots of fun was had especially for the end of summer!

Kingston's injury

I wanted to note that on Saturday late afternoon last week, Kingston was running back into the house and didn't notice the garage door shutting  and ran right into it and slammed his head with the door on his forehead and the back of his head smack dab on the concrete! He was screaming bloody murder and has a huge goose egg on the back of his head. We iced it right away and he rested and is feeling a lot better today.  Poor guy. My Mama heart was hurting so bad for him. You hate to see your kids get hurt. He didn't want me to take any pictures but I want to document it.

First day of school!

FINALLY!! The kids started school today at Ridgecrest elementary in Puyallup. Teachers are not striking anymore. They rode the bus this morning. Same bus driver as last year. I just called Maple Lawn in Sumner and they received my paperwork and will be getting back to me today!! YIPPEE!! I am so excited for the kids to be going to a better school and district. Here are the pictures we took this morning before they got on the bus. Miss Ava Lou loves walking the kids to the bus stop and back everyday.

Teacher's on strike

Our kids were supposed to start school this past Wednesday. I was just informed that they will not be having school again tomorrow. This is getting ridiculous! The teachers are being bawl baby chicken guts. I can't get our kids out of this school district fast enough! I freakin hate Puyallup school district. I have hated it ever since Kingston was in 1st grade here. A bunch of Libtards there.   We will be going to Sumner school district here soon! We are going to take advantage though of no school tomorrow and watch the cattle drive in Puyallup tomorrow morning.  We will grab breakfast at Chik fil A first. I got a free sandwich there. He he.  We are getting excited that we will be purchasing a new house on 1 acre of land! We love a fixer upper. Our luck or my luck I should say, made this possible. Ha ha.  It isn't a NEW house, but new to us. And I love that it is in the Sumner school district. Also, getting excited to welcome baby Sarah to our family in December!  Great things are happening in our lives right now and we are so blessed !!  We had fun as a family at the Puyallup Fair last Monday. I took a ton of pictures and they are all on instagram. So much easier to upload them there.

Gave Mom a Perm

I gave Mom a perm yesterday. I think it turned out great! We didn't get an after photo because it was late and Mom needed the solution to stay in overnight before she curled it with the curling iron.:) I have been going to help get Tammy ready since Thursday evening while Lisa is in Idaho. We have been having a great time! Here's a few pictures.

Fishing

Aaron and the kids have been fishing! They go to Tanwax lake near Eatonville/Graham. They catch all kinds of fish every time they go. They are headed there this morning again! Kylee caught 10 fish last time they went. Hopefully Kingston will be able to catch some fish. So far they have thrown the fish back that they caught, but I think today they might keep em! Fry fish tonight I guess.

Swimming

Last Tuesday, the kids and I met Derrinda and the boys at Mom, Dad, and Tam's  place to go swimming. They have a cool bull- inflatabull toy to ride on. Kylee did really good on it and stayed on a long time, Kingston had a really hard time staying on it, kept losing his balance. Anyway, it was a hot day and super fun! Thanks for letting us come out and swim!

Coloring Contest

Kingston and Kylee both entered the coloring contest at Walmart to win a backpack and school supplies. I got a call yesterday morning telling me that Kingston had won!! I was so excited for him! There isn't much that we don't win. Ha ha. We are pretty lucky!!  Kylee won last year at the Bonney Lake Walmart. So, this was cool! Here is the picture he colored and his new backpack!

Willy Wonka Jr. Play

The first performance is over! The kids did such a good job! Kingston and Kylee played the candyman kids.  We were so shocked and happy to see Grandma and Grandpa walk into the theater! It really meant a lot to the kids and us! I know it wasn't easy for them and I am so glad they made it! Thanks to Aunty Lisa and cousin Richie for coming too! It was so great !! When Kingston first  started this play he was hating it and said he didn't want to do it, and now he is telling me that he wants to do another one next year. I am so happy to hear that.  He really loved being up on stage I think.  Kylee was so cute in her dress and Kingston in his overalls. Great job kids!
