We are so glad summer is officially here! 90 degrees today!! That is a little warmer than I like but I am not complaining.

Dresser make over

I bought this dresser for $30 at the Goodwill thrift store about 2 months ago. I loved the look of the dresser, but it definitely needed a make over. It was painted white and originally is brown underneath. So, I have been hearing all these great things about chalk paint. So, I decided to buy some. It is really neat. Not much sanding is involved at all and you just paint it on! So, Aaron helped me a lot. I wanted to do the project by myself, but he insisted that he help. So, I painted the first coat and he painted the 2nd coat and then sprayed the handles a black color and then put on the final wax for the finished product. Kingston picked out the color. It is called " surfboard". It is a pretty blue color. I didn't take any pictures of the dresser before, but you can imagine it looked white with gold handles.  I also bought this rocking chair at value village for $3. It was originally brown and so we painted it the same color. We antiqued it. Left some of the brown showing. Kingston really likes it. Kylee fits in it perfectly. Fun projects! The dresser and rocking chair will go in the kids room.

Update

So, Andrea, birth mom, has decided to keep this baby girl. Aaron and I are o.k. with it. We really didn't want another kid anyway. We are very happy with the two we have! I just feel bad for the innocent baby. What a horrible life it is going to have. I seriously doubt that Andrea can take care of a baby. She can't even take care of herself. Kingston was kind of sad. We had already named her Sara Lily. Oh well, he will understand when he is a bit older. So, don't worry, we are not sad, just sad for the poor baby. Even if she changes her mind, we are not going to take her. We can't play her little games. You shouldn't tell someone that you want them to have your baby and then say, never mind. That to me wasn't right. She said she wants to keep this one because the Dr. told her she won't be able to have more kids because the current STD that she has will ruin her uterus. I told Andrea, Good luck! She will need it. She doesn't know the first thing about caring for a child, let alone an infant.  Anyway, pray for that baby! I think we are still getting a newer vehicle! tee hee! IF my Honda sells.

Honda for sale

I have listed my Honda Accord on craigslist. Selling it for $9500.00. Blue book is $10,228.00. I absolutely love this car! Honda's are awesome and it has served us well, but with a growing family it is time to move on to a bigger vehicle. We are most likely going to get the Chevrolet Traverse. It seats 8 and it is a pretty looking car. :) Gets good gas mileage. I am excited. I remember driving off the dealers lot in Hawthorne California in 2005 with my sweet new Accord. This car has never failed me. I really will be sad to see it go! Anyway, if you know anyone interested let me know!

Park fun/ Baskin Robbins

I found some old pics on my old phone and totally forgot to blog it. I blog everything. I took the kids to the park a few weeks ago. (when we had sun and no rain) then, to get ice cream with my free gift certificate that I won at Adventure run a few months ago. I love Kylee's pictures in the swing. She had so much fun!

Guess what I got today?

A new phone! I am pretty excited about it. I got an Iphone 4s. It is so sweet! I have the same phone # too. I love that it has i tunes right on the phone. I already put some Leann Womak on it. :) Good bye old LG phone. I won't miss you! Ha ha.

Gorgeous Tacoma house

I got these pictures off of Carla's blog. Thanks Carla! Hope you don't mind. :) The Tacoma house is really looking good these days. Aaron is over there again all day today working and cleaning it up. It is almost ready to list. The floors just got done over the weekend and boy do they look great! What a difference! The entire house is so gorgeous! Here are the pictures of the house painted. I don't think I have even taken a picture of the house completely painted on the outside.

Uncle Noel (DOLE)

After we got home from the dirty dash race. I called Noel and he came down and gave Kingston his birthday present a little early and took us out to sushi at Trappers Sushi in Bonney Lake. We love when Uncle Noel comes down. He always spoils us! We were asking when the last time we saw him and he said a year ago at Kingston's birthday party! I couldn't believe it. I hope we see him sooner than that! Maybe at the 4th of July gig in Bellevue! Thanks braddah for the fun day!

15 miler and dirty dash race

I got up bright and early and met Mike at the Orting skate park at 6 a.m.! We headed out  towards South Prairie and ran 15 miles today! It was a lot of fun, My pace was slow, around 8:45/ mile, but I was just happy to be running and it went by fast. Mike and I always enjoy our conversations.:) So, after that, I came home, took a shower, ate some breakfast, and then we headed out the door to the dirty dash, which by the way, I didn't like! I was talked into doing it by a girl in my ward and she backed out last week, so I was there all by myself. I was happy Aaron and the kids were there to support me though. I got pretty muddy and I wouldn't call it fun. So, the race was 3.1 miles. I ended up running 18 miles total today! I am crazy I guess. I think I will be hurting tomorrow! Aaron took some pictures of me going out and  coming in. It wasn't even like a race because you had to stop and wait 10-15 min for a bunch of people to climb walls, go thru muddy water etc. Anyway, enjoy the pics! FYI, I will never be doing this again! Ha Ha. Dirty bit.
